All of Mim and Poppy's tablecloths, napkins and
tea towels are hand sewn from fabric designed by
painter Martha Worthley.
Enjoy some art for your table!

Mim & Poppy Design is a project of artist Martha
Worthley. She has taken a love of vintage textiles
and collectibles and started a new line of table linens.
Martha's original painted images are scanned
and then she works in Photoshop to create
print-ready designs.

From her studio in Port Townsend, Washington,
Martha's work for Mim and Poppy reflects a life of
collecting: dishes, teapots, salt & pepper shakers,
fruit labels, postcards; and always, dogs, gardening,
music & art.

The fabric is printed by Spoonflower in North Carolina.

Spoonflower uses an eco-friendly process, water based inks,
and as little water as possible.

The name Mim and Poppy honors her mother, Mim,
and her Aunt Poppy: two talented and creative
women whose love of art and literature sparked her
interest from early childhood.

Caring for Your Mim and Poppy Products

I wouldn't be Mim's daughter if I couldn't give you some washing tips.

*What do I do about wine, tomato and other common food stains?*

My favorite cure for tough stains is first trying some spot cleaning. White vinegar, or one of the OxiClean™ non-bleach products, and Dawn dish soap for grease all work well on food stains.

Boiling water poured from a height onto fruit stains usually deals with jam or jelly.

If something is really tough, I use hot water and OxiClean™ powder for an overnight soak.

When desperate, I have applied regular bleach to a spot - just a drop or two - and that also takes care of it.

So far, the colors haven't faded a bit given this kind of treatment, but truly the best thing is to launder with cool water on a gentle setting.

PRO TIP: NEVER WASH WITH MIXED COLORS. THE WHITE BACKGROUND WILL PICK UP ANY STRAY COLOR FROM OTHER FABRICS
